Diaphragm Pressure Gauge
Suitable for measuring the pressure or negative pressure of various fluid media that are corrosive, non-solidifying, or non-crystallizing.
Corrosion resistance depends on the diaphragm material.
Stainless steel corrosion-resistant diaphragm pressure gauges feature pressure-conducting systems and housings made of stainless steel, offering strong corrosion resistance. They are mainly used in chemical, petroleum, and textile industries for measuring small pressures of gases and liquids, especially suitable for measuring small pressures of highly corrosive and viscous media (non-solidifying, non-crystallizing).
Vibration-resistant diaphragm pressure gauges are filled with damping fluid and equipped with buffer devices, providing excellent vibration resistance. They can perform stable measurements in environments with strong pulse changes in pressure, pressure shocks, frequent sudden unloading in production processes, and high environmental vibration.
Corrosion-resistant and vibration-resistant diaphragm pressure gauges combine the characteristics of both corrosion-resistant and vibration-resistant diaphragm pressure gauges.
Diaphragm Pressure Gauge Structure Principle:
The instrument consists of a measuring system (including flange接头, corrugated diaphragm), transmission指示 mechanism (including connecting rod, gear transmission mechanism, pointer, and dial), and housing (including case and bezel). The housing is splash-proof and offers good sealing, protecting the internal mechanism from contamination.
The operating principle is based on the deformation of the elastic element (diaphragm in the measuring system). Under the pressure of the measured medium, the diaphragm undergoes corresponding elastic deformation—displacement—which is transmitted and amplified by the connecting rod组 through the transmission mechanism. The measured value is indicated on the dial by the pointer fixed to the gear.

◆Advantages and Disadvantages

Calibration Equipment:
1. Requirements for Standard Devices
The maximum permissible error absolute value of the standard device should be no greater than 1/4 of the maximum permissible error absolute value of the diaphragm pressure gauge.
2. Selection of Calibration Devices for Diaphragm Pressure Gauges
Pressure calibrators or vacuum calibrators can be selected.
Calibration Items:
Indication error, hysteresis error, light tap displacement, and pointer rotation smoothness.
Calibration Methods:
1. Method for indication error calibration: The indication calibration of the pressure gauge is performed at the marked scale points. During calibration, pressure is increased (or decreased) steadily. When the indication reaches the upper limit, the pressure source is cut off, and the gauge is pressure-resistant for 3 minutes. Then, pressure is decreased (or increased) steadily in reverse order to re-check the calibration points.
2. Hysteresis error: For the same point during calibration, during pressure increase (or decrease) and decrease (or increase) calibration, the absolute value of the permissible error must comply with regulations.
3. Light tap displacement: For each point during calibration, during pressure increase (or decrease) and decrease (or increase) calibration, the change in indication after lightly tapping the case should not exceed half the absolute value of the permissible error.
4. Indication error: For each calibration point, during pressure increase (or decrease) and decrease (or increase) calibration, the difference between the indication before and after lightly tapping the case and the standard device indication should meet requirements.
Selection of Temperature Coefficient:
When using the formula △=±(δ+k△t), for metal diaphragms, the temperature coefficient k is 0.04%/°C; for coated diaphragms, the temperature coefficient k is 0.06%/°C.
